NGO :: Awamaki - The Sacred Valley

In the spring of 2010 I returned to the Sacred Valley of Peru, to team up with a small not for profit organization called Awamaki.

I ended up spending three weeks living in the ancient Inca town of Ollantaytambo, photographing Awamki's programs which work to bring together volunteers from all over the world to help in the health clinic, the schools, and rural communities.

About Awamaki:

NGO :: WAVES for Development

In the spring of 2010 I traveled to Lobitos, a small fishing village in the north of Peru which also happens to feature world class point breaks. During my two weeks in Lobitos, I teamed up with an awesome crew of volunteers at WAVEs for Development and worked on photographing their journey, as well as filming Capture a documentary about Lobitos and the WAVEs organization.

NGO :: Hungry Eyes - A tale of milk, masculinity and dance

Besides being a tale of masculinity and dance, Hungry Eyes is also an homage to the importance of milk.

We want children to be able to drink milk so that they can grow up strong and healthy and have a better chance of being able to dance good, and do other things good too.

In the making of "Hungry Eyes" we used $1 worth of milk. Obviously, $1 can go a long way here in Peru.

To learn how your $1 can make a difference, check out the project on ...
