"Leaving Home" an iPhone documentary

In order to come back, you must leave.
to leave, you must pack,
a suitcase,
overflowing,
with fear, and with doubt.
More importantly,
with humor,
and an openness,
to see,
to hear,
to feel,
and to change.
To move,
forwards,
and backwards,
to weave,
and to stumble,
and forever move Onward, etc.

Onward, Etc. :: Tour de America

Newport Folk Festival

Rain, shine, and rain again, the music and energy at this year's Newport Folk Festival was unquenchable.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this festival is one of a kind. The people it draws, and the sense of comraderie that it fosters between artists and fans alike is truly unique....

Governors Ball

Ladies and Gentleman,

It is my pleasure to present to you Governors Ball 2k12.

One of the best additions to summer in New York City since the invention of the gin bucket and air conditioning.

Artists featured in this post: Phantogram, Chromeo, Cage the Elephant, Built to Spill, Passion Pit, Beck, Explosions in the Sky, Major Lazer, Walk the Moon, Art vs Science, Alberta Cross, and Santigold.

Lots of classic favorites, but for up and coming bands I would recommend checking out Walk the Moon: http://walkthemoonband.com/

Newport Folk Festival

Geting to work with my friends at SOPA productions (Ryan, Adam and Colleeen) on the 2011 Newport Folk Festival was one of the best musical experiences of my life.

Nestled between the looming stone walls of the old fort and the cooling waters of the Newport Harbor, the festival lives and breathes its music and heritage in a way that is really unique. The presence of folk legends (like 92 year old Pete Seger), the intimate space which the festival inhabits, and perhaps something of the nostaligic feel of the festival all contribute to foster an environment of creativity, colaboration...
